Chase wire transfer routing number: domestic wires and SWIFT

A receiving arch and blank account card connect to an envelope route and a sweeping international route beside a globe.

Short answer

Chase publishes 021000021 for incoming domestic wires and CHASUS33 as its SWIFT/BIC code for incoming international wires. The sender also needs your receiving account number. Chase says it uses account numbers and SWIFT rather than an IBAN. For a wire you’re sending, get the destination details from the recipient’s verified instructions.

Prepare the details a sender needs to wire money into Chase, including what to use when an overseas form asks for an IBAN.

Someone is ready to send you money and asks for your wire details. You open your banking app, then discover the form wants an ABA number, a SWIFT code or an IBAN. This guide helps you match each field to the transfer you’re arranging.

Which routing number does Chase use for incoming wires?

Chase’s wire-transfer FAQs list 021000021 for a domestic wire arriving in a Chase account. They list CHASUS33 for an incoming international wire. Both routes also require the receiving account number. These published identifiers were checked October 31, 2026.

Confirm the complete receiving instructions with Chase before sharing them with the sender. Keep your account number inside a trusted channel and compare the recipient name and account details as well as the bank identifier.

What should you give the person sending the wire?

Make one complete information pack so the sender can review the details together. The worksheet below is a preparation aid; fill it from the receiving instructions for your account. Leave out passwords, PINs and security codes.

Where are the account and routing numbers in Chase Mobile?

Chase’s mobile account-details guide shows this sequence: sign in, choose the tile for the account you need, then tap Show details. The expanded view displays its account and routing numbers.

Chase also explains the three number groups on a paper check: the routing number comes first at the lower left, the account number follows, and the check number identifies the individual check. Read the labels carefully when copying a number.

For wire-specific questions, use the incoming-wire instructions in the first section. For payroll or another direct deposit, Chase’s direct-deposit guide explains how to obtain the form for your selected checking account. Keeping those tasks separate helps you give each sender the details for its payment method.

What if the sending bank asks for a Chase IBAN?

Chase says it does not use an IBAN. Its international receiving guidance uses the Chase account number and SWIFT code CHASUS33. Tell the sending bank that the destination is a U.S. Chase account and ask how its form accepts those details.

A useful message is: “I’m receiving an international wire into a U.S. Chase account. My receiving instructions give an account number and SWIFT code, while your form requires an IBAN. Which option should the sender use for this destination?” Supply the sensitive account details only through the bank’s verified process.

If a bank offers an 11-character BIC field or asks for a branch address, have it confirm the complete entry against the receiving instructions. Keep the bank-provided code intact while the bank resolves the form requirements. Our ABA-versus-SWIFT guide explains the two identifiers.

Which details belong on a wire sent from Chase?

When money leaves your Chase account, the destination belongs to the recipient. Get that person or organization’s verified wire instructions, then match the recipient name, account, bank identifier, amount and reference before confirming.

For example, imagine paying a business that banks elsewhere. Your Chase account is the source of the money; the business’s receiving-bank instructions supply the destination. If a form is asking about the recipient bank, use that bank’s details.

Some instructions include both a receiving institution and a final customer or subaccount. Read all of those fields together. The for-further-credit guide shows how FFC information helps allocate a payment after it reaches the receiving account.

What if the incoming wire hasn’t appeared?

Chase’s FAQs say an incoming wire can take 24 hours to reflect in the account after it reaches Chase. If you’re looking for a missing payment, first ask the sender to confirm that its bank sent it. Then contact Chase through the app or another official channel with the transfer details.

Keep the sending date, amount, currency, reference and receiving instructions together. Ask whether the issue concerns sending, arrival at the bank or crediting to the account. The wire-tracking checklist helps organize that conversation.

For cost questions, use the separate Chase wire-transfer fee guide. It compares incoming and outgoing fees, sending channels and account benefits. Review the charge for your own account and transfer before approving a payment.

What should you do if the bank details are wrong?

If the transfer is still a draft, compare every destination field with the original receiving instructions before submitting it. Contact the recipient through a known channel to verify an unexpected change in bank details.

If it has already been sent, Chase’s wire-payment guidance advises contacting the bank or transfer service immediately about an error. Give the sending bank the original reference and explain exactly which field needs attention. Confirm the first payment’s outcome before arranging another.

Before a future purchase wire, use the instruction-verification checklist to review the destination alongside the request amount and required reference.
