A few checks worth slowing down for
Check Bitcoin wallet destinations, payment instructions, account access, and unexpected requests before making a purchase.
Understand who controls the destination
Generate the receiving address in your own trusted wallet. Check the full address and Bitcoin network before confirming. A destination supplied by someone else may belong to them, even if they describe it as your investment account.
Keep the keys to your wallet private
A receiving address is enough to identify where Bitcoin should be sent. Do not share a seed phrase, private key, account password, or verification code with someone offering to help. Avoid unsolicited remote-access requests.
Pause when the request changes
Stop if someone unexpectedly changes bank details, promises a guaranteed return, or asks for a further payment to release funds. Verify instructions through an independently established channel before moving money.
Keep records of the decision and outcome
Save the order reference, verified instructions, accepted quote, and delivery record. If something looks wrong, contact the relevant bank or provider through its official channel promptly. Bitcoin prices can fall, and a completed transfer may not be reversible.
